Bayerischer Hof

The hotel is only a few steps away from the Rödertor and is therefore directly in front of the castle walls of the historic old town. In five to ten minutes you are at the market square and at the train station.

The Bayerischer Hof is the perfect starting point for excursions and tours. In the immediate vicinity you will find the parish church of St. Jakob, the Medieval Crime Museum and the German Christmas Museum. But hiking and cycling trips to the beautiful Tauber Valley along the Romantic Road can also be ideally started from here.

The hotel/restaurant offers breakfast for its guests, its own parking lot for cars and bicycles, as well as a charging facility for e-bikes. We are also certified as a bike-friendly hotel by Bett+Bike. In the adjoining, inviting restaurant, our guests can let themselves be pampered and feel at home.

Our twelve friendly and bright non-smoking rooms are perfect for families, couples, friends, business people and those looking for peace and quiet. Each room is equipped with its own shower/bathtub, toilet, hairdryer, TV and some with a sofa or seating area. There is free WLAN access throughout the house or via the local Rothenburg Freifunk network.
In June 2021, the mattresses, pillows and blankets were renewed in all of our rooms.

We have a selection of traditionally furnished rooms with antique “Voglau farm furniture”, superior double, twin and triple rooms in a modern country style, as well as a luxurious four-berth junior suite, ideal for families. Many of our rooms can be equipped with extra beds. Pets are also welcome. We ask you to indicate both upon request when making your reservation.

The budget room is located on the 2nd floor and is furnished in a country style and has a view of the garden. The room is furnished with a 1.60 cm double bed, a sitting area with a small sofa, table and chair. There is also a wardrobe, TV, shower, hair dryer and free WiFi.

The standard twin room is on the 1st floor and is furnished in a country style and has a view of the garden. It has two single beds and a seating area made of solid wood furniture with a table and two chairs. There is also a wardrobe, cloakroom, TV, free WiFi and a bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer.

Traditional Rooms

With double bed and antique “Voglau furniture”

The Traditional Rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floor. Both 2-bed rooms with a double bed and 3-bed rooms are available. The rooms impress with classic old Bavarian design and matching traditional “Voglau furniture”. Here you can really feel the historical flair of our medieval city. There is also space for baby beds in some rooms. Partially oriented towards the street and towards the terrace. There is also a TV, wardrobe, seating, bathroom with shower or bath, hair dryer and free WiFi.

Superior Rooms

The superior rooms were renovated in June 2021 and are equipped with new bathrooms. They are on the 1st and 2nd floor, have modern furnishings and are available with a double bed or two single beds. Extra beds and cots are also possible. Partially oriented towards the street and towards the terrace. There is also a TV, a seating area, wardrobe and closet, newly fitted bathroom with rain shower, hair dryer and free WiFi.

Junior Suite

Our suite is on the 2nd floor and is perfect for families or couples who value special equipment, comfort and a spacious layout. Occupancy for four, three or two people possible. Possibility of adding cots. There is also a box spring bed 1.80x2m, an adjoining room with a single bed, a sofa bed, desk, seating area with Smart TV and free WiFi. The large master bathroom with rain shower and bathtub leaves nothing to be desired and impresses with its size, comfort and exclusivity..
